Palantir Foundry Data Engineer – MDM & Data Quality
Job summary
We are looking for an experienced Palantir Foundry Data Engineer to build and operationalise governed data products, ontologies, pipelines, and applications supporting enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Quality initiatives. The role requires strong hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, including Pipeline Builder and/or Code Repositories, ontology modelling, data integration, SQL, Python, Data Quality controls, matching, reconciliation, and operational workflows. The successful candidate will work closely with Data Owners, Data Stewards, source-system teams, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, production-ready Foundry solutions. Candidates should have demonstrable production implementation experience with Palantir Foundry rather than training-only exposure. Note: This Job Post is for one of our clients based in Middle East.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and optimise data ingestion and transformation pipelines in Palantir Foundry.
- Develop production-ready pipelines using Pipeline Builder and/or Code Repositories.
- Design and implement Foundry Ontology objects, relationships, actions, and associated business logic.
- Implement Data Quality checks, validation rules, exception handling, matching, and reconciliation processes.
- Develop operational workflows and applications to support MDM and Data Quality use cases.
- Design and support controlled API integrations and write-back mechanisms.
- Integrate master data from enterprise source systems and ERP platforms.
- Develop reusable components and governed data products.
- Troubleshoot pipeline, transformation, data-quality, and application issues.
- Optimise pipeline and application performance for enterprise-scale workloads.
- Apply software engineering, testing, deployment, monitoring, and documentation standards.
- Follow secure development practices and appropriate access-control mechanisms.
- Maintain technical lineage, runbooks, design documentation, and operational procedures.
- Work closely with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Data Engineers, and source-system teams.
- Support defect resolution, production releases, and knowledge-transfer activities.
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, or a related technical role.
- Strong recent and demonstrable hands-on experience delivering solutions using Palantir Foundry.
- Experience with Foundry Pipeline Builder and/or Code Repositories.
- Strong understanding of Palantir Foundry Ontology modelling.
- Strong SQL and Python programming skills.
- Experience with data integration, ingestion, transformation, and processing.
- Experience implementing Data Quality controls and validation frameworks.
- Understanding of MDM data matching, exception handling, and reconciliation.
- Experience troubleshooting data pipelines and production issues.
- Understanding of Git, version control, CI/CD, and deployment concepts.
- Knowledge of secure software development and access-control practices.
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrable production project experience with Palantir Foundry; training-only exposure is not sufficient.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Palantir AIP workflows.
- Experience building applications using Workshop or custom React applications.
- Experience working with Oracle Fusion or other enterprise ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of MDM matching and survivorship.
- Experience working with REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
- Experience with Foundry/Fabric interoperability.
- Palantir Foundry certification.
- Demonstrable portfolio of production-grade Foundry implementations.
- Experience with enterprise Data Quality and reconciliation frameworks.
