Job summary
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data systems. Work with engineering and business teams to transform raw data into reliable, high-quality datasets that support analytics, reporting, and business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop reliable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Collect, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and data models.
- Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot data-quality issues.
- Build and maintain data warehouses and databases.
- Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and software engineers.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, security, and availability.
- Optimize pipeline performance and reduce processing time.
- Document data workflows, processes, and technical solutions.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with Python or another programming language.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipelines.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of data quality and validation processes.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with Apache Spark, Airflow, Databricks, or similar tools.
- Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or other data warehouses.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and version-control tools such as Git.
- Experience working with large datasets and distributed systems.
